Taking a Quick Break

Hello everyone. I am going to be taking a quick break from this blog, and this time I am actually telling you! Also this time, I do not plan on going away entirely.

I am going to try and post maybe once a month for the next little while, but not on any kind of schedule. This will be more of a “when I can” type of scedule.

This has been a tough year for everyone, myself included. There are a lot of things I feel like Cassidy and I have missed out on because of quarantining. Our routine was uprooted when my husband began working from home, but we settled into a new routine as she got older and he continued to be home. However, things have not felt “normal” for a long time. Missing out on things I was hoping to do with her this summer, not being able to see friends and family as much as I would like, and not having her interacting with other kids her age now that she’s old enough to care, has been rather heartbreaking.

I recently hit a breaking point. It had a lot to do with this year, but also because I am stretching myself too thin. I have always done this. I want to do so many things, and I want to do them all now! But it’s just not feasible. I currently run this blog, a YouTube channel, an Etsy shop, and try to stay on top of my social media presence for marketing all of those things. Plus, I am a mom to a wonderful, but very needy 15 month old!

I love being a multi-passionate entrepreneur. I also firmly believe that in business, you shouldn’t have all your eggs in one basket. So, while I have cut out some things that I would also like to be doing (like a photography/graphic arts business) I think I need to cut down a little bit more.

It’s important for me to be able to give Cassidy my best. She is the most important thing in the world to me. So that is definitely not something I can cut down on, even though she takes up the most of my time and energy.

Which the holidays coming up, I know there is a wonderful oppourtunity with Etsy, which makes me think I really need to increase my efforts there, especially because I am launching a new Christmas line of dog accessories.

Because of these things, I made the decision to cut back on my blog. But I definitely don’t want to leave it completely and I plan to come right back to a regular routine as soon as I can. I just need to get my head back up above water again first.

If you haven’t subscribed to my YouTube channel yet, please do, as I plan to continue to post videos regularly.

Thanks for understanding! I can’t wait to be able to be back in full speed again!
